White Room

There, Eleni Palaiologina, granddaughter of Emperor Manuel II and niece of the last Byzantine emperor, Constantine XI Palaiologos, once lived in ascetic seclusion. Steeped in centuries of history, the monument offers a powerful experience that bridges the present with the memory of Byzantium’s grandeur.
